Being able to pick up a chisel and hammer and make mere rocks transform into a finish product is more an art rather than a science. Fred Gayton discovered at a young age that he had a niche for masonry. Wanting to take his natural ability to the eyes of a public he created his own business in 1969 known as Fred Gayton Stone Masonry. He started small doing residential projects that he quickly advanced into a full blown business offering sales of stone and installation of residential and commercial projects.

Mark Gayton, Fred’s only son, always helped his Dad with chores around the house. He quickly acquired the niche that his Dad had grown to love.  After graduating high school, Mark knew that he had no other calling than to work for his Dad doing what he loved. Continuing to follow his Dad’s footsteps, Mark assumed control of the business in 2002, where it is now known as Mark Gayton Stone Masonry.
